Highchair Fit

I had the pleasure of fitting baby Gio in his new highchair this morning, and I was very impressed! The Antilop highchair will fit almost every budget with a base price of $22.99cad, the tray can be purchased seperately for $7cad, and the inflatable cushion finishes the package at $9.99cad for a total price of $39.98cad!

When positioning babe in a highchair we want them to be sitting in a 90/90/90 position.

Broken down this means we want a 90 degree bend at the hips, knees, and ankles. Babe should be sitting up straight and well supported. though their hips and back. Gio was a little small for this chair, but with the cushion fully inflated he was well supported.

The 90 degree at the ankle is the one thing we weren't able to achieve with the Antilop as it comes, but we found a solution!

The Footie was the perfect aftermarket accessory to give those little tootsies the support they needed to help Gio feel stable and maintain good posture.

Think of how you feel when sitting on something without foot support, like a countertop or barstool. You are going to try to get yourself stability. This could be by leaning forward, leaning backward, or bracing with your hands.

Ensuring babe has good foot support when in their highchair will provide a feeling of stability. This stability will be protective against choking, as babe is able to maintain an upright position and keep their airway open

and protected with every swallow.

The Footie is adjustable to grow with babe and provide support through the toddler years. Assembly was super simple, just roll the rubber supports into place, then wrap the ties around the leg to lock them in place.
